Local photographer Matt Artz is joined by five
other contemporary Southern California photographers in a group show
of new work at Progress Space/Gallery Soho in Pomona. Artz, who
lives in Highland and works in Redlands, has been photographing
landscapes, still lifes, and abstracts in black-and-white for 30
years. You can see more of his work on his web site at
www.mattartz.com .
The group show, titled "Visions and
perspectives", runs through Friday, Dec. 24. Other photographers
participating are Dorothy Brunell, Sindi Diane Wasserman, William
David Coxon, Craig Dinsdale, and Porforio Aguilar. Award-winning
photographer Yoshio Kitazawa was originally scheduled to participate
but passed away suddenly in September. In his honor, a "Memorial
Wall" featuring four of his photographs will be on display at the
"Visions and Perspectives" show.
